This happens because the Grinch made a loud noise to start an avalanche. Your main goal is to ski far and collect many lost presents. You must be quick or the snow will cover you up.

Outrun the Avalanche

You have to keep moving fast to stay safe. The giant snowball behind you moves very quickly. It will crush Santa if he stops or hits a rock. You need to find a good rhythm to keep your lead. If you crash, the snow will catch you immediately. The path is full of big stones and frozen trees. You must jump over these things to stay alive. Hitting a tree slows you down and lets the snow get closer. 

Do Backflips for Points

You can do cool flips while you are in the air. Hold the button down to make Santa spin around. Doing backflips gives you a higher score and extra rewards. You must land straight on your skis though. If you land on your head, the run is over. Mastering the flip is how you get a world record.
